IMCC romped to a massive 243run victory in their first game of the new season. The 'oluyole warriors' made light work of the new comers Igbobi college OBCC. IGBOBI won the toss and elected to field on the newly laid Jubril Martins Oval wicket. IMCC's Ayo Ewete, in his first game for the club, took little time to settle in as he blasted his way to 76runs in 69 balls in a first wicket stand of 106 with Riliwan Yusuf(37). In a display of attacking batting, only one of IMCC's top 5 batsmen failed to score over 30 runs and they were set to get something in the region of 400 runs until Ekemode popped up to produce a devastating spell of swing bowling that IMCC's middle order couldn't handle.

First he had Atif Rana caught in the deep just after the IMCC number 5 reached his century. Ajao Olumide holed out in similar fashion and Tayo Sowole was out LBW first ball in his first game back at IMCC to complete the hat-trick as IMCC went 280 for 4 to 300 all out. They would not have been pleased about the collapse but they must have felt they had put up a competitive total. It took just two balls for IMCC to find the break through as Olumide Ajao found enough swing to disturb the furniture of Usman. Hard hitting opening batsman Olufemi was caught at mid-off trying to up the tempo. Ajao took the next 3 wickets before Sowole was brought into the attack for a 5 over spell that accounted for 3 Igbobi wickets. Young left arm spinner, Idris Ogungbade came on to take the last wicket to turn what looked like being a comfortable victory to a rout.

IMCC take on Ibeju Lekki2 on Saturday at the Jubril Martins Cricket Pitch while Pioneers take on Stallions on Sunday
