International Cricket Is Back

June 4, 2021

female national squad for Rwanda Kwibuka

Nigeria's female national team is currently flying above our heads en route to Kigali, Rwanda to compete in the Kwibuka tournament. The excitement is tangible albeit unpredictable for cricket fans, even for the most ardent followers of the female game.

This year's competition will see the hosts joined by Nigeria, Namibia, Botswana, and Kenya. The Ugandan team pulled out at the last minute due to a breach of the team's bio bubble during preparation.

game schedule for Kwibuka tournament

For those of you who do not know, Kwibuka means to remember and the event is in commemoration of the events of 20 years ago and it seems fitting that there is a women’s cricket tournament to celebrate the resilience, growth, and the determination of a people to rebuild.

Over the course of the competition, we at will do our utmost best to bring you as much information as we can find. Find us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook

We are of course excited to announce that you will be able to watch the games live as all international games of Rwanda Women's Cricket Team will be broadcasted by @WomensCricZone for the next 5 years.
